It was announced this morning that Hurricane Irma has upgraded to a Category 5 storm threatening the state of Florida and the East Coast. Even not yet knowing the exact path of the storm, it is still not too early to begin preparations and make emergency plans. Those that may be affected should monitor Hurricane Irma through national and local channels. Clergy, along with parish leadership, will make the decision to cancel services for everyone’s safety if need be.

Use online form to register for our Fall Clergy Retreat at the Diakonia Retreat Center, from October 10, 2017, 4:00 p.m. until October 12, 2017, 2:00 p.m. All Clergy are asked to attend the Thyranoixia (Blessing of the Opening of the Doors) of the lower level Chapel/Library/Symposium Room of our Panagia Chapel.

On Saturday, August 5, clergy gathered together at Holy Transfiguration in Marietta, Ga. to celebrate Great Vespers for the Feast of the Transfiguration.

This year's event will take place in Orlando, Fla. on Friday, Jan. 12 - Monday, Jan. 15 at the World Center Marriott.

Yesterday in Greece, one of our Metropolis' own was ordained into the priesthood as Fr. Constantine Carras.

As July comes to a close, the stones and tiles are beginning to go on the exterior walls of the chapel, the marble floor is complete in the downstairs, and the wooden scaffolding has been removed from the upper level of the chapel were the sanctuary will be.

Teens from all over the Metropolis of Atlanta are gather together during five weeks of the summer months at the Diakonia Retreat Center for Saint Stephen's Summer Camp.

His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios gathered with the Holy Eparchial Synod to help elect the next Metropolitan of Chicago. Held at the Archdiocese in New York, hierarchs from all over the country gathered to determine the “Triprosopon” names from the previously released list of potential candidates.

Metropolitan Alexios commemorated this important observance at the Metropolis' Archangel Michael Chapel in Atlanta on this 40th day of Holy Pascha.

The Panagia Chapel at the Diakonia Retreat Center is in its final stages. To wrap up the building of the Panagia Chapel, His Eminence has asked that each family give the names of their loved ones, living and deceased to be sealed in the Holy Table during consecration and prayed for during each service held in the Chapel. When submitting names, it is requested that each family prayerfully considers a sponsorship of $30 or more, as you are able, to the completion of the Panagia Chapel’s roof.
