I AM F.U.S.E. Project
I AM F.U.S.E. (Free Unashamed Safe and Empowered) is a local non-profit organization fighting human trafficking through prevention, education, community outreach projects, and restoration programs. Their focus is helping human trafficking survivors adopt a mindset of strength, self-worth, and inner beauty.

Monica Nagy (Executive Director), survivor and founder gave her heart-rendering story to our chapter during our April membership meeting. Our chapter decided to take action and help where needed.

With the generosity from members of our Parish, we collected essentials (toothpaste/toothbrush, deodorant, wash cloth, soap, etc.) to assemble 46 hygiene kits for human trafficking victims.




In addition, our chapter gave a monetary donation to I AM F.U.S.E. during our May membership meeting. We will be assisting them with future endeavors as they continue to put an end to human trafficking.

Spread the Love Project
During the month of April, the Ladies Philoptochos Society of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Fort Myers, Florida, hosted a Spread the Love Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive benefitting the Community Cooperative organization of SW Florida.  As a way to give back to the community, our chapter and members of our parish donated 332 pounds of peanut butter and jelly to help feed children in need during the summer.
