This year’s retreat will center on faith-based tools and strategies to support caregivers in their work with patients—and their families—facing serious or terminal illness and dementia. A key component of the retreat will be fostering fellowship and community among Orthodox medical professionals, creating space for shared reflection, mutual support, and spiritual connection.
On Friday evening, through a brief presentation followed by a panel discussion, we will also explore medical error and second victim syndrome, along with faith-rooted approaches to healing, recovery, and resilience for caregivers and care teams who experience these often-unrecognized burdens.
