On the weekend of October 24, His Eminence Metropolitan Sevastianos travelled to Saint Katherine in Melbourne, Florida to celebrate their 50 year anniversary. A Gala was held at the Eau Gallie Yacht Club, where founders were honored, and the future was seen to be bright. 
The following morning, His Eminence served a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy. He was joined by the proistamenos, Fr. Zacharias Thornbury, who was awarded the offikia of Confessor. Serving with His Eminence and Fr. Zacharias were Fr. Martin Ritsi and Fr. Stephanos Ritsi, and Dn. Constantine Triantafyllidis.

After the liturgy, several altar servers were officially tonsured. They were: Elijah Thornbury, Vincent Splinis, John Guest, Thano Splinis, Moses Ritsi, James Ritsi. 

Also after the liturgy, the Saint Katherine Greek School put on an Oxi Day remembrance with poems by the students.
