Beloved Reverend Fathers, Parish Council members, Philoptochos members, Archons, Ministry leaders and faithful of the Holy Metropolis of Atlanta,

Today, Sunday, November 8th, with hearts lifted in thanksgiving and joy, we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel and all the Bodiless Powers of Heaven, the heavenly patrons of our sacred Metropolis.

On this blessed feast, we give glory to God, whose divine love has entrusted His holy angels to guide, protect, and strengthen His people. The Archangels stand before the Throne of God, faithfully serving His will and reminding us that we too are called to be messengers of His love, peace, and truth in the world.

As we rejoice in this patronal feast of our Metropolis, let us offer gratitude for the many blessings God has bestowed upon our clergy, parishes, ministries, and faithful throughout the Southeast. May the Holy Archangels continue to watch over His Eminence Metropolitan Sevastianos, our clergy, monastics, parish and ministry leaders, families, and young people, protecting them and leading them ever closer to Christ. We ask God's blessings on our Archdiocesan Institution of Saint Michael’s Home in Garrison, NY, and Archangel Michael Church in Lecanto, FL.

On behalf of Metropolitan Sevastianos, I extend heartfelt feast day wishes to every community and faithful member of our Metropolis. May this day be filled with spiritual joy, renewed hope, and confidence in God's providential care.

We especially look forward to welcoming our faithful on Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15, for our Archangel Michael Feast and Honors Weekend. If you have not made reservations, call our office, 404/634-9345 early Monday morning to ensure space is reserved since no ticket sales will be offered at the Saturday banquet.

Please read the Archiepiscopal Encyclical for the Feast of the Archangels, November 8, 2026.

Through the prayers and protection of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel, may our Lord grant peace, health, and abundant blessings to all.

With joy in Christ,

Fr. George Tsahakis
Chancellor
