His Eminence Metropolitan Sevastianos of Atlanta had a beautiful Archpastoral Visit to St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Sarasota, Florida on December 13-14, 2025. 
 
His Eminence arrived in time for our Christmas Pageant practice on Saturday and even joined us for lunch at our All Youth Christmas Party.    Following lunch, His Eminence has a Q&A Session with the GOYAns of St. Barbara where lots of fruitful discussion occurred. 
 
Following other meetings, His Eminence spent a considerable amount of time with the Parish Council discussing the exciting happenings of the parish, as well as some of the present and future opportunities. For dinner, His Eminence joined the Philoptochos and Daughter’s of Penelope joint Christmas Party in our fellowship hall. 
 
On Sunday, December 14, His Eminence celebrated the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, and upon its conclusion, the end of the Divine Liturgy, His eminence elevated Rev. Fr. Kyriakos Hambos to the office of confessor. 
 
We were also honored to have His Eminence present for our Annual Sunday School Christmas Pageant and it was a special blessing for the community. Following the Divine Liturgy, a luncheon was held in his honor in the Community Center. 
 
The community of St. Barbara truly appreciated the amount of time His Eminence was able to spend with us, showcasing our growing and vibrant Orthodox Christian community. May God grant him many years!
