Ordination of Nicolaos Spirakis to the Holy Diaconate & Priesthood

October 5, 2025On the weekend of Saturday/Sunday, October 4th/5th, 2025, Nicolaos Spirakis was ordained respectively to the Holy Diaconate and the Holy Priesthood at St. Nektarios Church in Charlotte, North Carolina by His Eminence Metropolitan SEVASTIANOS of Atlanta.
The Metropolitan exhorted the newly-ordained to think of ministry as stewardship and as being an instrument of God's love. Several members of the clergy concelebrated at the Hierarchical Liturgy, namely Frs. Andreas Houpas (Proistamenos of St. Nektarios Church), Panayiotis Steele (Ephemerios of St. Nektarios Church), and Minas Tsambounieris (Proistamenos of Annunciation Church in Winston-Salem, NC where Fr. Nicolaos Spirakis will be assigned as Ephemerios). Family and friends from St. John the Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Holy Trinity Church in Charleston, South Carolina were in attendance.
