The Grand Banquet was the inaugural event of the 2025 Clergy-Laity Assembly & Philoptochos Conference. With Archbishop Elpidophoros and Metropolitan Sevastianos addressing the faithful at the Grand Banquet in Charleston, the evening was a unique opportunity to celebrate the ministries of the Metropolis and for Christian Fellowship.
Registration is open for the 2025 Atlanta Metropolis Clergy-Laity Assembly, Grand Banquet and Philoptochos Convention to be hosted by the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity in Charleston, South Carolina on June 11-15, 2025. Katie Wilson, Central District Oratorical Festival announced that 20 speakers from 8 of the 10 district parishes shared outstanding presentations on Saturday, April 20th at St. Christopher Hellenic Orthodox Church in Peachtree City, GA. It is the third consecutive year that the parish has hosted the district festival. This year set a new record number for the number of parishes and student presenters participating. Congratulations to all our speakers and prayers for safe travels and success for our finalists advancing to the Metropolis Festival at St. Katherine's Church in West Palm Beach, FL, May 10-12, 2024.

We leave filled with joy and enthusiasm to implement insights we learned to boost our Holy Faith and its ministries throughout the eight southeastern US states with its 75 parishes under the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios presided at the Hierarchical Feast Day for Archangel Michael and the Heavenly Hosts at Archangel Michael Chapel in Atlanta on Tuesday, November 8th. Joining him were Fr. George Tsahakis, Metropolis Chancellor, Fr. Paul Kaplanis, Annunciation Cathedral Dean, and Fr. Christos Mars, Ephemerios at the Cathedral. Afterwards, the Metropolis staff hosted a special reception in honor of the Metropolis of Atlanta's Patron Saint.
